Décision
At its 55th meeting, on 28 August 1946, the Council
decided to invite the representatives of Greece and
Yugoslavia to participate, without Y0te, in the discussion
of the application of Albania for membership in the
United Nations.
A sa SSème séance, le 28 août 1946, le Conseil a
décidé d'inviter les représentants de la Grèce et de la
Yougoslavie à participer, sans droit de vote, à la discussion concernant la demande d'admission de I' Albanie à l'Organisation des Nations Unies.

The Security Council,
H aving received and considered the report submitted
by the Committee on the Admission of New Members
regarding application for membership in the United
Nations presented by the People's Republic of Albania,
the Mongolian People's Republic, Afghanistan, the
Hashemite Kingdom of Transjordan, Ireland, Portugal,
the Republic of Iceland, Siam and Swcdcn? 7
Having considerrd in the course of its debates each
one of the above-mentioned applications,
Having taken due notice of the statements of opinions
of the rnembers of the Security Co11ncil in regard to
those applications,
Recommends to the General Assembly that it admit
to rnembership in the United Nations the following
applicants: Afghanistan, Iceland and Sweden.

Ayant reçu l!f examiné le rapport qne lui a soumis le
Comité· d'admission dt' nouveaux Membres concernant
les demamles d'admission comme Membres des Nations
Unies prc'·sentées par la République populaire d'Albanie,
la Répnblit1ue populairt' de Mongolie, l'Afghanistan, le
Royaume hachémite de Transjordanie, l'Irlande, le Portugal, la l<épublique d'Islande, le Siam et la Suèrle~ 7 ,
Ayant examiné au cours de ses délibérations chacune
<les demandes mentionnées ci-dessus,
Ayant dûment pris en considération l'exposé des vues
des membres du Conseil de sécurité en ce qui concerne
ces demandes,
Recommande à l'Assemblée générale d'admettre comme Membres des Nations Unies les Etats candidats
dont les noms suivent: Afghanistan, Islande et Suède.

At its 81st meeting, on 29 November 1946, the
Council decided to accept the recommendation of the
General Assembly concerning the re-examination by the
Security Council of certain applications for membership
in the United Nations. 28

a décidé d'accepter la recommandation de l'Assemblée
générale relative à un nouvel examen par le Conseil de
sécurité de certaines demandes d'admission à l'Organisation des Nations Unies28 •

The Security Council,
H aving taken note of the unanimous approval by
its members of the application of Siam for membership
in the United Nations,
Recommends to the General Assembly that it admit
Siam to membership in the United Nations.
Le Conseil de sécurité,
Ayant pris acte du fait que ses membres approuvent
à l'unanimité la demande d'admission comme Membre
des Nations Unies présentée par le Siam,
Recommande à l'Assemblée générale d'admettre le
Siam comme Membre de l'Organisation des Nations
Unies.
