Your Excellency,
On behalf of the Government of His Majesty the Yang di-Pertuan Agong
in my capacity as Prime Minister and Minister for External Affairs, and having
submitted the application of the Federation of Malaya for admission to membership in the United Nations, I declare that I accept the obligations deriving from
the constitutional instrument in force and undertake to fulfil them from the
date on which the Federation of Malaya is admitted to membership in the
United Nations.

'Presented to the Secretary-General of the United Nations on 17 September 1957. By
resolution 1134 (XII) adopted by the General Assembly at its 678th plenary meeting, on 17 September 1957, the Federation of Malaya was admitted to membership in the United Nations.
