TUNIS, 14 JULY 1956 I, Habib Bourguiba, Prime Minister of Tunisia, President of the Council of Ministers and Minister of Foreign Affairs, declare that the Tunisian Government hereby accepts the obligations of the United Nations Charter and undertakes to fulfil them as from the date on which Tunisia becomes a Member of the United Nations. By resolution 1112 (XI) adopted by the General Assembly at its 574th plenary meeting, on 12 November 1956, Tunisia was admitted to membership in the United Nations.
